Scout Troop

Action…action…action and fun are the watch words of the Scout section, for young men and women from 10˝ to 15 yrs!  The Scout Leader is helped by Assistant Scout Leaders in the running of the Troop with emphasis on outdoor activities and skills.

The Scouts are formed into Patrols of about six led by a Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader.  The Patrol Leaders and Assistant patrol Leaders form Troop Council and are the team that with the Scout Leader that runs of the Troop, increasing their sense of responsibility and discipline.

Scouts camp under canvas many times a year in many varied places; hiking, orienteering, water activities (canoeing and sailing), gliding, constructing all manner of things and learn by doing this in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.

Our Scouts meet on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

The Group Committee

Formed by the parents of the youth members to oversee the function of the Group they help with hall maintenance, fund raising and assiting the leaders where possible.
